Swagga Studio In Ear Headphones from Nutz Audio

I received these headphones free of charge from Nutz Audio, in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I can't even begin to say how many sets of headphones we've gone through in our house - they seem an essential part of day to day living for us! Due to this, we are always looking for some which not only give excellent quality in sound, but are hard wearing and strong enough to go the distance. When these arrived, I couldn't wait to try them out.

As you can see from my pics, these are a really gorgeous blue colour and come with spare buds to guarantee that they're suitable for everyone  ....

I connected them to my ipod whilst doing the housework and have to say that they really did impress! They blocked out all outside noise, including my exceptionally noisy neighbour, and allowed me to just drown myself in my idea of great music. I'm a huge fan of Queen and these really brought it to life for me. Even whilst moving around doing the hoovering etc, they didn't falter in the slightest. No intermittent silences, no crackling, just perfect music every time. I really can't boast enough about the sheer quality of these buds, especially compared to others I've tried. I also often have problems getting in-ear headphones to stay in place as my ears are pretty small, but these were fantastic and remained comfy for a good few hours. They are also great for use outside as they're waterproof too.

Apart from the quality of these babies, you also receive this fantastic little case to keep them all safe and sound. It's an ideal size to fit into your handbag and in my opinion, is so flippin cute too! I've bought many in-ear headphones, but they very rarely come with anything like this which is maybe why it impressed me so much! I also had no fear of the wires getting tangled whilst in the case as they are specially made to be ultra-flexible which prevents such a thing happening .....perfect! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that they have a built in mic, so if you use them with your phone, there's no need to remove them to talk to whoever rings you.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these as they do exactly what they claim and for such a reasonable price, they're well worth it!

Swagga Studio In Ear Headphones are available to buy from Nutz Audio and cost just £39.99. They also come in a range of colours so you're guaranteed to find exactly what you want.

Madara Flower Dust Lotion - Shimmering Moisturiser

I received Madara Flower Dust Lotion - Shimmering Moisturiser free of charge from My Pure, in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love my moisturisers and rely heavily on them as I get really dry skin over my body, and especially down the fronts of my legs. When I saw this on the My Pure website, I really couldn't resist the appeal of the 'shimmering'' effect.

The bottle is a contains a whopping 150ml of lotion so it's sure to last a fair while. It operates using a pump action making it very easy to dispense ....

The lotion comes out white and it's really difficult to see any sparkle so I was a little unsure as to how much of a shimmer effect it would actually have.

Slight shimmer

I found this really easy to rub in but it didn't feel quite as smooth as my usual moisturiser and then, after a few minutes and as if by magic, the tiny sparkles began to appear on my skin.

Shimmer appearing whilst rubbing in
Fully rubbed in
A definite shimmer
I've really struggled with the pics, especially trying to show the shimmer but it is definitely there! The lotion doesn't really have a smell and absorbs nicely and quickly into the skin, whilst leaving it with a healthy glow and a mild shimmer. My skin itself felt soft and moisturised after application although when I made the mistake of applying this after shaving my legs, it did sting so I'd strongly advise to only use 24+ hours after hair removal, otherwise you'll end up creating some dance moves you didn't even know you were capable of!!

Although it didn't give me quite the moisturisation that I need, I would definitely recommend this product as it gives skin that little something extra. I personally would use it for special occasions as it looks fab on legs or over the chest and shoulders giving a really stunning glittery glow and it works especially well if you have a bit of a tan. Even faking the tan and then applying this lotion a few hours later gives a lovely effect - well worth investing in!

Madara Flower Dust Lotion _Shimmering Moisturiser is available to buy from My Pure and costs *£19 for a 150ml bottle. If you're quick, there's a special offer on at the minute whereby if you spend £30 at My Pure, you automatically get this amazing product FREE!!

Le Volume De Chanel Ultra-Black Mascara

I was absolutely thrilled to receive a sample of Le Volume De Chanel Ultra-Black Mascara and was so impressed with the results that I thought I'd give it a shout out.

I absolutely love mascara and a lot of the time, it's the only item of make-up I tend to wear as it helps boost my confidence a little. I do however often struggle to find one that makes my lashes look okay rather than like hairy spiders legs. My lashes are also a little sparse so I'm always on the lookout for the next best thing.

The mascara brush has really fine bristles and there are lots of them to help grab and coat each individual lash. Sorry my pics aren't the greatest but this is how the mascara looked once applied .....

As you can (hopefully) see, the mascara went on fairly evenly, didn't clump and didn't smudge. I have to say that I was so impressed with this and it has delivered way better results than most other mascaras I've tried.

This is definitely one I'd recommend, although it is slightly pricey so something I'd probably only use for special occasions.

Has anyone else tried this or do you have a favourite mascara you'd like to share ....I'm always interested in hearing your opinions and it gives me something else to try ;)

This mascara is currently available to buy from Boots and costs £25.00 for a 6g tube.

Eco Tools Skin Perfecting BB/CC Brush from My Pure

I received an Eco Tools Skin Perfecting BB/CC Brush free of charge from My Pure, in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I'm a huge fan of BB and CC creams but have always just used my hands to apply and never had any problems. I've heard & read many things about how different and more even the application can be by using a suitable brush, so eventually, my curiosity got the better of me. This particular brush is made by Eco Tools and is specifically designed to apply both BB and CC creams.

Packaging
I personally really loved the packaging for this brush as due to it being mainly material rather than cardboard, I was able to replace my cleaned brush back inside for safe keeping until its next use.

The brush itself has a recycled aluminium ferrule and sleek bamboo handle whilst the bristles are soft and cruelty free.

As shown in my pic, the brush is specifically angled to provide exceptional coverage and is able to get into those awkward places like the sides of the nose etc with ease.

To use, I simply applied a small amount of BB cream to the back of my hand then dipped the brush in it before beginning to apply to my face. I started with my forehead and worked my way over my cheeks before tackling round my nose and eyes. I also used it to help blend around the jawline which is one of the most important parts to get right as I personally hate it when 'tide lines' can be seen. The bristles are really soft making them comfortable on my skin, but they're still strong enough to give even coverage without any problems. I found my BB cream blended in well and surprisingly, there weren't even any bristle lines which I had anticipated. Cleaning was really easy too, just make sure it's thoroughly dried before using again!

I was really impressed with how this performed and think I've actually been converted, although I probably will still use my hands if in a bit of a rush as I found it slightly more time consuming with the brush. I finally get what all the hype is about and oddly enough, I agree that this is something well worth investing in.

Eco Tools Skin Perfecting BB/CC Brush is available to buy from My Pure and currently costs only £5.94 (prices correct at time of post).

The New AW2015 Collection from Bcharmd

Photos by Nicole

As some of you who follow me on Twitter will know, I was lucky enough to attend the Bcharmd VIP Launch Event in Newcastle Upon Tyne last week for a sneak preview of their AW 2015 collection. This is the first event of this kind that I have attended so really had no idea what to expect. I took my daughter along as she's been doing a photography course at college and I thought she could help me out a little with the pics.

I met the very lovely Lindsay who not only works at Bcharmd, but also has a wonderful blog called Confessions of a Mummy which is well worth checking out. She showed me how to style some of the amazing jewellery that I saw which is why I've tried to show a close up of the necklace she got me to try. Believe it or not, but this is actually 3 necklaces intertwined and held together with a silver clasp ...and it looks amazing! Something I'd never have thought of doing myself but you have to agree that the end result looks absolutely stunning! She also showed me a few other tricks on the best way to wear the statement pieces which I've definitely taken on board and will no doubt have fun with.

Here are a few pics of some of the gorgeous jewellery pieces on offer ......

One of the things I found really amazing was the fasteners on some of the necklaces. Unlike a standard fastener which can often be fiddly if you're cold or have long nails, Bcharmd offer the perfect solution ...simply pull the two ends to tighten! This was also a great idea for the bracelets too as like a few others, I really struggle to get bracelets to fit me as I have really skinny wrists. The fasteners on some of this collection fasten the same as the necklaces so you can adjust the size accordingly making it perfect for everyone, regardless of size .....

If I had a bottomless pitt of money, I easily could have spent a small fortune whilst I was there. Unfortunately it fell before my pay day so that gives me a good excuse to go back in the near future and treat myself.
