Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion & Hand Cream Review

I recently received these goodies from AVEENO_UK on twitter for review, so, here it is:

DAILY MOISTURISING LOTION
I have really dry skin and was quite looking forward to trying this as most products don't seem to work.  The claim on the tube is that it leaves skin moisturised for "24 hours" and the skin will be left looking "soft, smooth and healthy" after just 2 weeks!
There is very little smell from this lotion which i quite liked as i'm a great lover of perfume and i could use this cream daily without having a 'clash of smells.'
After initial application, my skin did look more moisturised and it soaked in really well so there was no stickiness....which i usually find a problem with other products.  I continued using this for 2 weeks to see if there was any change in the condition of my skin and found that although my legs still had some slight dry patches, there was definately and imporovement particularly on the rest of my body where the skin isn't quite so dry.
Overall, i would recommend this to people who don't suffer from extremely dry skin, but it is good if the dryness isn't too severe.

HAND CREAM
I have tried many hand creams to help combat the dryness caused by general daily chores like washing dishes (and you lot thought i did nowt!), and have become rather sceptical as to whether anything actually works....that is until i tried this!!
The cream has a lovely texture and absorbs very quickly leaving just a thin protective layer over the skin.  Even after washing dishes etc, i could still feel the cream working its magic and my hands felt touchably soft and smooth....RESULT!!! Once again, there was no stickiness and the effect was immediately noticable after just the first use.
Strongly recommended if your hands are looking/feeling a little worse for wear, and best of all, if you start using this now, they'll be lovely and smooth just in time for summer!
Aveeno products are available to buy from Boots and Superdrug stores among others.

Jordan's Frusli: Tropical Papaya & Pineapple

I recently had the pleasure of recieving a box of new Tropical Papaya & Pineapple Frusli bars from Jordan's for review, so here it is!!
Admittedly, pineapple is one of my all time least favourite fruits - the closest i come to eating it is when i have pineapple cubes, so i was rather amazed when i discovered how tasty these Frusli bars were.
Each bar is a delicious blend of wholegrain oats and fruit - a whopping 28% fruit to be exact - and the flavour just comes bursting out, with each mouthful leaving you begging for more.
I also love the consistency of these bars - they're not too hard, but not too soft either.  Both of my kids - 1 of which also doesn't like pineapple - thought they were heaven sent and said that not only would they like these for breakfast, but would be happy replacing a packet of crisps for one of these in their lunchboxes!
I've tried many different cereal bars, and these are by far, one of the nicest i've had the pleasure to sample - i'm definately converted and they've already been added to my shopping list!
Strongly recommended by me and my kids - why not go out and try them for yourself, then pop back and leave your own comments on my blog....i'd love to hear your thoughts.

ghd Obedience Cream for Frizz-Free Styling

I recently reviewed this ghd Obedience Cream for the very lovely Jenny from Talk Perfection and decided it was so good, i ought to add it on my blog!
I was very weary about using this product as i have extremely fine, flyaway hair which most taming products leave looking dull and greasy, however, this one was different!
As per the directions, i washed my hair, towel dried it a little then rubbed a small amount of this gel into my palms and began working through my hair - it smells gorgeous.  My hands did become quite sticky, but my hair felt fine.  Once i'd rubbed it through, it was time to blowdry and this is the point at which my hair usually becomes flyaway.  Alas, i managed to dry my hair without having to catch it first, then it was time for the ultimate test - the straighteners.  I was sure it would fail at this point, but surprisingly, it didn't.  My hair styled much better than normal and still looked clean and shiny - no static the next day after brushing either.
This tube is available direct from ghdhair and costs £12.95 (which includes free express delivery in the UK)
I strongly recommend this to anyone who struggles to tame their hair xx
