Cherry Vimto and Vimto Lolly
I have had so much fun trying out all the Vimto goodies I was sent.......and i've had a few extra visitors to my house since I got them too!
Next for me to try was the New Cherry Vimto. I started with the can and I have to say that i'm not usually a big fan of cherry flavoured drinks but this left me wanting more! There was just the right amount of fizz and it wasn't too gassy (not sure if that's a word but hey, we all make mistakes lol). It still had the same distinct Vimto flavouring but with the added hint of cherry.....and it was delicious!! There was actually a fight for these cans in my house, but for a change, I got there first! My kids were next in line and they both told me in no uncertain terms, that I HAD to buy some more......guess that's me told eh! My other half wasn't keen on trying it at first as he's always loved Vimto and was a little unsure but I convinced him to try and that was the last I saw of that can. I guess he liked it!
Now for the Cherry Vimto which had to be diluted. Personally, I wasn't so keen on this as a juice but it did quench my thirst. My other half and my kids all thought it was extremely nice and managed to finish most of the bottle within 2 days...they left me just enough to try it hot.
I wasn't really looking forward to it much but thought i'd give it a go anyway, and i'm so glad I did. The smell was the first thing that hit me and it smelled gorgeous. You could pick out the cherry without too much trouble and the spices in Vimto really stood out....I absoutely loved it! Full of flavour and for me, it worked wonders for my blocked nose. Definately will be buying again.
I was really looking forward to trying the lolly....i'm such a big kid! Again, I wasn't disappointed. This was so full of flavour and unlike some lollies, it wasn't 'sharp' when I bit it and the flavour lasted through to the very end. It managed to keep my kids quiet for a good half an hour....heaven!
So far, i've already added everything i've tried to my shopping list and I am so impressed. If you like Vimto, then you're sure to like all other Vimto products out there too....and there's plenty of them!
All products tried were sent to me free of charge from Vimto via twitter. The above review is based upon my own opinions which may not be the same as your own.

Vimto Fizzy Rip Roll & Vimto Carton
As you'll know from my earlier post, I was sent some fab goodies from Vimto for review. If you're on twitter, why not follow them.....just click here!
The first things I decided to review were the Fizzy Rip Roll and a carton of still Vimto...I couldn't resist the fizzy roll! WOW, I certainly wasn't disappointed. This was absolutely delicious and had the distinctive traditional Vimto flavouring. I was quite surprised by how much was on the roll, it seemed to last forever. Yes, it did make my eyes water and there were a few funny faces pulled during eating, but I have to say that I absolutely loved it!! My kids and other half were dying to get in on the action too so of course, I shared (not that I wanted to mind you)! Full marks all round.....definately one to buy again!
The carton of still Vimto was also spot on, not too weak and not too strong but packed with that fantastic unique Vimto flavouring and it was just the right size too....ideal for those packed lunch boxes! It was also nice to see that the straws were still attached to the cartons, well done Vimto!
The products included in this review were sent to me free of charge from Vimto in return for reviews. All opinions are my own, so be warned, yours may differ.

Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator Week 3
Well hello you lovely lot! Another week has just flown by and it's that time already......week 3 of my epilation! Sorry this post is a little later than normal but I had a pretty hectic weekend (i'll probably blog about it later)!
I did my epilation on Wednesday and, like last week, I took my music in the bathroom with me. I have to say that the whole process is becoming much easier, especially since I now know what to expect. Same routine....soak in the bath for a few minutes, apply the Gillette gel then away I go. This time however, the pain was only slight and I actually quite enjoyed the whole experience....it was pamper time for me!
After epilation, I applied my Palmers Coconut moisturiser which soothed my legs and the little red pimples which normally appear were much less than prominent.
Before I started using the epilator I shaved my legs every 2 days. Since using it, i've only been epilating once a week (as instructed) and I have to say, the hair growth seems to be slowing....HOORAY!!
So far, so good then. I can't express how impressed I am with this and i'm already not sure whether I could go back to shaving!
It is recommended to epilate weekly for the first 3-4 weeks, I personally may continue for about 5-6 weeks before doing less often but everyone's different so go by your own instincts.
Okay, thats it for another week, although the next post may seem to come quite quickly as it's only 2 days till I need to use it again! Please keep a lookout and thanks for continuing to read.
I received the Braun Silk-epil Dual Epilator for review as part of a BzzCampaign and this post is based on my own thoughts and opinions but remeber, not everyone's the same, your own may differ!

Vimto - Upcoming Reviews
I've been sent a fabulous selection of products to sample and review from Vimto. Before I begin reviewing, I thought i'd share a pic of what I received.....
As you can see, there's a whole range of products and i'm really looking forward to getting stuck in and trying them out.......it's probably no surprise that my kids are keen as mustard to try these too!
Here's a pic of each different product laid out so you get a good idea of what's there....
From left to right we have: Sugar Free Fizzy Vimto, Bottle of Still Vimto ready mixed, Carton of Still Vimto ready mixed, Original Vimto to dilute, Cherry Vimto to dilute and a can of Cherry Vimto.
In the forefront of the pic are a Vimto Fizzy Rip Rol (left), Vimto Lolly (right) and a packet of Vimto Tongue Ticklers.....phew, time to take a breath!
My kids were quick to lay claims to some of this, they've each taken a carton of still Vimto and a Fizzy Rip Roll into school today so i'll be hounding them for opinions when they get in.....and of course i'll have to try them myself, for review purposes you understand!
Keep an eye open for the upcoming reviews.....first one will be up tomorrow!

Glam'Eyes Quad Eyeshadow
Another Rimmel London Mission for me....this time it's Glam'Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in shade 02 State of Grace.
It's difficult to see from the pic but the colours are really bright and vibrant so I was looking forward to trying this one! There's a handy little diagram on the back of the quad showing how to achieve 2 different looks - one's a 'subtle' look using 3 of the colours and the other is the 'London' look using all 4 colours.....perfect for those of you who don't know how best to apply, like myself!
I decided to go for the 'London' look using them all and here's the results:
I have a medium skin tone and found it hard to get the colours looking as bright as the do in the tub despite putting quite a bit on. The shadow itself felt nice and light and lasted all day without me having to reapply. I was disappointed with how pale it looked, especially after seeing the advert, so decided to try it out on my oldest daughter as she has really pale skin. Here's a pic:
As you can see, it didn't really make much difference although it is a little brighter! Overall, I probably wouldn't buy this myself due to the lack of vibrancy but I loved the feel of it on my skin and the fact that it was long lasting.
For more information on Glam'Eyes Eyeshadow visit Rimmel London you can also check out the other colours available and, as always it is available to buy from Boots and Superdrug as well as others!

Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator Week 2
As you know, i've been using the Braun Silk-epil Dual Epilator as part of my BzzCampaign, and on Wednesday, it was time to use it for it's second outing.
Since I found the first time slightly uncomfortable, this time I decided to take my mp3 player in the bathroom and listen to some music in the hope that a few of my fave tunes would relax me a little. For me, this worked a treat. I bopped a little whilst applying the Gillette shave gel, picked up the epilator and began.
This time, there was alot less pain, although I wouldn't say it was 'painless'. With the epilator not only plucking out the hairs but also shaving away the leftovers, you're left with nothing but a nice smooth finish. Personally, I applied Palmer's Coconut Cream after epilation to help soothe and moisturise my legs....it cooled and relieved them in no time!
It's now Sunday and i've noticed that the hairs, although visible, seem much fairer in colour and are less coarse than they usually are after shaving.
So far, so good then! As it's recommended that you epilate weekly for 4 weeks to begin with, I still have 2 weeks left so look out for the next update!!

Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator
It's no secret that I absolutely LOVE trying out new products and sharing my findings with you on here...good or bad, so I was thrilled when I was asked to review the new Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator as part of a BzzCampaign. As a BzzAgent, I am sometimes lucky enough to receive samples of products from them in return for honest reviews and helping spread the word. On this occasion, I have been asked to try the Braun epilator which I am absolutely thrilled about as i've always wanted to have a go at epilation but funding (or lack of) has always prevented me.
Okay, here's what I received....
Also included were 3 spare blade heads and 3 spare smoothing caps which I forgot to include in the pic - Oops!! As you can see, I received the epilator and a tin of Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel for use in the bath or shower.
Included in the box were the epilator (left), a charging stand (top middle), a cap for sensitive areas (2nd top middle), an epilation cap (2nd bottom middle), a cleaning brush (bottom middle) and a charger (right).
The first thing you may notice is the plug...it only has 2 prongs unlike our standard UK sockets which have 3! I ran around in panic looking for and adapter and luckily my other half has one for his razor so I erm...borrowed it!
Okay, now for a bit of info. The Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator is so versatile it can be used wet or dry, it has 40 tweezers all working away removing hairs as small as 0.5mm from the root...impressed yet? I know I was! The epilator itself comes with Gillette Venus Technology, so the 2 combined give you fantastic results and a smoothness that lasts. The head on the epilator pivots so it glides with ease over the contours of your skin and doesn't drag it.
Well. i'm what you could call an 'epilation virgin' my usual method of hair removal being shaving. A few days after my epilator arrived, I noticed that the hairs on my legs were pretty much ready for the chop.....no time like the present I thought! Being a bit of a softy, I decided to run myself a nice hot bath and use the epilator in there with the shaving gel....wise move in hindsight. It is suggested that you relax for around 5 minutes to help get the hairs standing up...I didn't even realise the hairs did that until I checked lol Anyway, this was it, i'd had the epilator charging for about an hour and it was ready, but was I?
Of course I was! I lathered up my leg and picked up the epilator...with slight hesitation, I turned it on. Blimey, it was a little louder than expected and had a small light which glowed on the front, perfect so you can see exactly what you're doing. I started from the bottom of my leg working my way up.....slowly. I won't say that it didn't hurt because it certainly did. I can honestly say that I could feel each hair being plucked from my leg.....but that meant it worked!! Once i'd finished the first leg, I took a small break before doing the second and yes, it still hurt. Despite the pain, which could be due to the fact that it was my first time epilating ever, I was really pleased with the results. My legs were left feeling silky smooth and once I applied some moisturiser, the discomfort vanished. It is advised that you epilate at night time as tiny red dots appear on the skin where the hairs have been pulled from, but they disappear quickly enough.
All in all i'm impressed so far. It's recommended that I use it once a week for the next 4 weeks the reduce use after that, so I will do just that! Stay tuned for my next update!

Rimmel Volume Flash The Max Bold Curves Mascara
Another mascara for review from Rimmel London and I have to say, I always love trying these as mascara's definately one of my must-have items.
You'll have to excuse the 2 bits of polystyrene under the mascara tube, I couldn't get it to sit with the name showing, it just kept flippin rolling!
Anyway, back to the review. this mascara is only available in one colour which is 001 Black. Since this is probably the most popular colour, I don't see this as being a problem.
As you can see (just) the brush is curved so it helps catch every lash whilst curling at the same time, the effect is amazing. As i've found with most Rimmel mascaras, this one goes on clump free and makes lashes look fuller and longer after just a couple of strokes. It dried quickly and didn't leave any black lines across my eyelid when I opened my eyes. The colour lasted well throughout the day and I didn't need to reapply at all. The only trouble I did have was that it was quite difficult to remove. I used my usual eye make-up remover pads and they seemed to struggle to get it all off, I still managed to remove traces the next morning!
If the difficulty in removing doesn't bother you, I would definately recommend this as it didn't leave my lashes feeling weighed down and the results were second to none. For a bit more info, head on over to Rimmel London and have a nosey.
As always, these are my own opinions and since we're all different, your own may differ.
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation in 303 True Nude
Yes, you've guessed it....this is my next Rimmel London VIP Misson and I was so looking forward to trying it out.
I opted for the True Nude shade as this is the closest to my natural skin colour, and it was perfect! It glided on really nicely and I didn't need to use too much to see a real difference. Blemishes seemed to disappear (a godsend for me) and I was left with a nice even skintone. Some foundations tend to leave my skin looking slightly shiny, but this was spot on and it blended in really well too.
Now for the real test!! This claims to last for 25 hours and I quote "Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours" but does it really do what it says???
I'm always pretty sceptical when a company makes such claims as normally they're just trying to plug their product, which is why I try to be as honest as possible in my reviews. This time however, it seems they were telling the truth!!
I applied at around 7.30am and continued with my usual routine, namely housework. As you can imagine, with all that elbow grease I was getting a little hot and sweaty and wiping my brow occasionally (see how much effort this housework malarky takes), and nothing......not even a smear! I visited my local shops in the drizzle and still, the foundation remained in tact. In fact, when I got ready for bed that night, I was stunned to find that not only was my face still looking and feeling fresh as a daisy, there were no signs of foundation around my collar......now that is a miracle.
Although it's not advised, I thought i'd give it the ultimate test and not remove it before bed....I know, I know, it's the cardinal sin but ho hum, I had to try!
Next morning, I got my Nivea face wipes out and was gobsmacked by how much came off my face.....I didn't even realise I had as much on in the first place! Not a trace was left on my pillow either. Amazed? I know I was.
Yet another that I would certainly recommend, especially if you don't have the time to reapply throughout the day. More information and a list of shades is available from Rimmel London and as always, you can buy the foundation from Boots and Superdrug to name but a few.
This review is based on my own experience however not everyone may have the same opinion.
