Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation in 303 True Nude
Yes, you've guessed it....this is my next Rimmel London VIP Misson and I was so looking forward to trying it out.
I opted for the True Nude shade as this is the closest to my natural skin colour, and it was perfect! It glided on really nicely and I didn't need to use too much to see a real difference. Blemishes seemed to disappear (a godsend for me) and I was left with a nice even skintone. Some foundations tend to leave my skin looking slightly shiny, but this was spot on and it blended in really well too.
Now for the real test!! This claims to last for 25 hours and I quote "Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours" but does it really do what it says???
I'm always pretty sceptical when a company makes such claims as normally they're just trying to plug their product, which is why I try to be as honest as possible in my reviews. This time however, it seems they were telling the truth!!
I applied at around 7.30am and continued with my usual routine, namely housework. As you can imagine, with all that elbow grease I was getting a little hot and sweaty and wiping my brow occasionally (see how much effort this housework malarky takes), and nothing......not even a smear! I visited my local shops in the drizzle and still, the foundation remained in tact. In fact, when I got ready for bed that night, I was stunned to find that not only was my face still looking and feeling fresh as a daisy, there were no signs of foundation around my collar......now that is a miracle.
Although it's not advised, I thought i'd give it the ultimate test and not remove it before bed....I know, I know, it's the cardinal sin but ho hum, I had to try!
Next morning, I got my Nivea face wipes out and was gobsmacked by how much came off my face.....I didn't even realise I had as much on in the first place! Not a trace was left on my pillow either. Amazed? I know I was.
Yet another that I would certainly recommend, especially if you don't have the time to reapply throughout the day. More information and a list of shades is available from Rimmel London and as always, you can buy the foundation from Boots and Superdrug to name but a few.
This review is based on my own experience however not everyone may have the same opinion.
Thanks for the great review :) will have to try it out sometime.
