Madara Flower Dust Lotion - Shimmering Moisturiser

I received Madara Flower Dust Lotion - Shimmering Moisturiser free of charge from My Pure, in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love my moisturisers and rely heavily on them as I get really dry skin over my body, and especially down the fronts of my legs. When I saw this on the My Pure website, I really couldn't resist the appeal of the 'shimmering'' effect.

The bottle is a contains a whopping 150ml of lotion so it's sure to last a fair while. It operates using a pump action making it very easy to dispense ....

The lotion comes out white and it's really difficult to see any sparkle so I was a little unsure as to how much of a shimmer effect it would actually have.

Slight shimmer

I found this really easy to rub in but it didn't feel quite as smooth as my usual moisturiser and then, after a few minutes and as if by magic, the tiny sparkles began to appear on my skin.

Shimmer appearing whilst rubbing in
Fully rubbed in
A definite shimmer
I've really struggled with the pics, especially trying to show the shimmer but it is definitely there! The lotion doesn't really have a smell and absorbs nicely and quickly into the skin, whilst leaving it with a healthy glow and a mild shimmer. My skin itself felt soft and moisturised after application although when I made the mistake of applying this after shaving my legs, it did sting so I'd strongly advise to only use 24+ hours after hair removal, otherwise you'll end up creating some dance moves you didn't even know you were capable of!!

Although it didn't give me quite the moisturisation that I need, I would definitely recommend this product as it gives skin that little something extra. I personally would use it for special occasions as it looks fab on legs or over the chest and shoulders giving a really stunning glittery glow and it works especially well if you have a bit of a tan. Even faking the tan and then applying this lotion a few hours later gives a lovely effect - well worth investing in!

Madara Flower Dust Lotion _Shimmering Moisturiser is available to buy from My Pure and costs *£19 for a 150ml bottle. If you're quick, there's a special offer on at the minute whereby if you spend £30 at My Pure, you automatically get this amazing product FREE!!

GOSH Soft Shower Gel & Moisturizing Body Lotion

I was lucky enough to win both these products from the Christmas Advent competition which was ran on the GOSH Facebook page I wasn't asked to review these products but thought I'd share them with you anyway. All opinions are based upon my own experience.

First, I have to say that I personally love the design and size of these bottles, they really look stylish and make the product easy to dispense. As always, the first thing I did upon opening was to have a sniff and wow, they both smelled gorgeous!! Bath time followed soon after lol

The shower gel contains Aloe Vera which is known for its skin softening properties and was the perfect choice for my dry, winter skin. I squeezed a generous amount onto my scrunchie and began washing. The smell immediately filled my nostrils and was exceptionally pleasant. It slightly reminded me of the Matey bubble bath I used as a child. It's a nice, fresh, delicate smell which I also found very relaxing. The gel lathered up really well and gave me a great all over clean feeling. My skin already felt alot softer than when using my regular shower gel and even after rinsing, the smell lingered on my skin. For a change, I had no tightness and no itching after drying which impressed me no end.

The moisturizing body lotion contains Argan Oil & Vitamin B3 to give the ultimate in hydration. I poured a small amount in my hands and massaged it into my legs & body. Again, the smell was unbelievably pleasant .....I could have sniffed this all day! The lotion applied well and didn't leave any greasy residue. It softened my skin beautifully and even managed to target my driest areas ie knees and elbows. The first day I used it, 3 friends separately asked me what perfume I was wearing and were gob-smacked when I told them it was just my new moisturiser! My youngest daughter waited till the end of the day and asked what I'd been wearing as every time I wafted past her, she got a lovely whiff. As soon as I showed her what it was, she decided to have herself a bath just to borrow some!

Both of these products were absolutely amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either of them, especially if you suffer from dry skin which is in need of a little TLC ....and of course, you'll smell absolutely gorgeous!

BLUEBERRIES DRY SKIN ULTRA HYDRATING BODY WASH from MY PURE

I received some Yes to Blueberries Dry Skin Ultra Hydrating Body Wash free of charge from My Pure, in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

As I'm nearing my forties, I try to find products which are more suitable to my maturing skin and offer real benefits. The 'Yes to Blueberries is Yes To's speciality range for age-damaged or mature skin. It improves firmness and diminishes the appearance of fine lines with blueberries, cotton thistle and paracress flower'.

I really love the size of this bottle as it's nice and chunky which means you can get a good grip of it even when you're hands are wet. There is a small opening in the lid which is where the body wash is dispensed from. Simply press one side down, and the other side pops open ....

I'm not quite sure how well you can see the hole in my pics, but it is incredibly difficult to dispense the body wash through it. I had to hold my scrunchie between my knees and use both hands to squeeze the bottle and even then, only a small amount dribbled out of the end. I found it far easier to remove the lid altogether and pour directly from the top of the bottle.

So, unless you have muscles like Arnie, I suggest this to be the best way to use the body wash.

I could smell this immediately after removing the lid and I really liked it. It has a pretty strong smell, but also a clean, fresh one and the blueberries really come through. I poured about a 50p piece size onto my scrunchie and found that this was more than enough to get a good, thorough wash. The body wash lathered up well and had a nice creamy feel on my skin which when rinsed, left it feeling nourished and moisturised. The lather was easily rinsed off and didn't leave any kind of residue. This product is also great to use as a bubble bath and creates a nice relaxing aroma whilst being kind to skin. The blueberries are a natural source of anti-oxident while the Shea Butter provides good moisturisation. After drying, I noticed that my skin didn't feel as tight as usual and had a nice glow to it. I didn't apply moisturiser as it didn't seem necessary ....which doesn't happen often!

Overall, I really liked this product although do feel that the bottle opening needs a little attention. As with all My Pure products, you're guaranteed that this is derived from natural ingredients and won't be harmful to your skin.

Yes to Blueberries Dry Skin Ultra Hydrating Body Wash is available to buy from My Pure at a cost of £7.99 for 500ml.

Jergens Ultra Hydrating Intensive Body Moisturiser

I have tried many Jergens Body Moisturisers and would be hard pushed to name my favourite as they all leave my skin feeling luxuriously soft....and they all smell totally fab too!!

I was recently lucky enough to receive this tube of the new Jergens Ultra Hydrating Intensive Body Moisturiser for Extra Dry Skin after applying through their facebook page.

I'm sure you can all guess (if you've read previous posts) what the first thing I did was after receiving it......yep, you got it! I immediately opened it and had a sniff and as i'd expected, it was irrisistably gorgeous.

I decided to have a nice soak in the bath before actually applying the cream - no surprises there either then lol Once I felt clean and refreshed, I dried myself and began to apply the moisturiser. I squirted a small amount into my palm, rubbed my hands together, then began to apply it from my legs upwards (not a necessary way to apply, just my preferred). I have to say that a little stretches a really long way. With most moisturisers, it doesn't take long for them to absorb into my skin, often leaving it feeling dry after just a few hours. Results that last ALL day is what I want, and that's exactly what I got. Immediately after application, my skin felt and looked soft, supple and moisturised....and it smelt bloody gorgeous!! The key ingredients in this moisturiser are Jojoba oil, Avacado and Olive oil, all of which are know for nourishing and rejeuvenating the skin. For me, applying it wasn't a chore at all but an absolute pleasure and even my partner (bless him) noticed how soft my skin looked and felt.....he said it had a 'glow' about it, and although he moans about the smell of most creams I own, he said he actually really liked this one and that I should use it more often....RESULT in more ways than one!!

If you suffer from really dry skin, and long to find a cream that gives lasting moisture whilst not irritating the skin, then look no further. For more info about Jergens check out their website there's something there to suit everyone and all at affordable prices too.

The above review is based upon my own opinion, please bear in mind that you own may differ.
